Hey beautiful lonely

Some summer nights I wish would last forever.

The air feels alive, cool and silky on my skin. The reflection of the moon casting a glow that makes magic of the mundane. She flirts and romances in the inky black forever sky.

An ever so slight breeze carries the salt to my soul and the sweet scent of flowers, almost too light to take in.

When the waters are calm, the streets are deserted and only peepers make a sound. It’s nights like this I could just drive forever, windows down and volume up. No company but the song on the radio and memories dear to my heart. As it swells and contracts between the future and the past, the night holds me present.
